Only the first pin I ever bought was a 'meh.' It was a Ro Go in '82; cosmetically beautiful (at least a 9), but after I fixed it, it was boring as hell. (Nothing to shoot at, even for an EM!) Price was right at $75 and I traded it even-up for a more-worn Gold Strike that same year (which I still own and enjoy), so it all worked out well.
