My time expander works flawlessly until I get to multiball. At this point it continuously lowers and raises until multiball is over. Tested all relevant switches in all time expander levels and they work as expected. The only clue I have is at the topmost position both ball kickers trigger. Anybody know what would cause this behavior?

Yes, thanks. That's exactly what I've done. All work properly with no false positives.

Thank you @eyeamred2u, that's exactly what was happening. I finally was able to get an opto to fire by wiggling the wires and found a loose connector. Problem solved.
