Good idea - looks like a better explanation of the rules. I will be doing this. I've also thought about putting information about the machine where the credit card would usually go.
Should be picking it up on Thursday. We'll see how it compares / compliments FTs.
Although, I really just like to Photoshop. I though this one was going to be really quick, but Keanu Reeves head is weird in that picture. Seriously, I think Gomez's head looks huge, but even so it doesn't even cover all of Keanu's.
Nice, like the prep work I'm free Thursday, hit me up and I will help ya out.
Glad that it all worked out so far and he didn't sell it from under you.
If you're around early that would work. Should have it back around noon. Otherwise my parents (and grandma) will be coming down on Thursday, but in that case I'll just have you over sometime soon to play both games.
If Terry would ever get the Red #555s in I'd have LEDs on the way too.
look nice.
I prefer the standard cards but this definitely has me thinking. That said, my photoshop skills suck.
Here are the ones I made for Elvira. I found a site that had a template card that was 6x3.25" which I would not use. The viewable area should be 6x3.25 but the card itself should be 6.25x3.5 which fits perfectly. These are 6x3.25 which I stretched .25" to fit but still came out ok on matte photo paper. http://www.pinballrebel.com/game/pins/card/card.htm
Quoted from dlbuller:anybody have a cool TFTC rule or pricing card?
I have my brother in law (graphic designer) making some soon. Do you have suggestions? I will send them to you.
I always loved the nicely integrated cards that someone created for TZ (with the blue comet thingies everywhere) so I tried my photoshop skills at producing some for my MM and IJ that did the same.
They may not look like much on their own, but place them in the apron and everything sort of lines up nicely. Looks like it was always meant to be there.
Here's MM. I'll try to find IJ and post here soon.
Enjoy.
Those look great, Drano! The ones that I've never really cared for are when people simply use the backglass art. There is nothing wrong with taking elements from the backglass, but simply copying the whole thing strikes me as kind of lazy.

Thanks; and I agree. I really wanted these to blend into the apron. As a designer, I hate when stuff sticks out like a sore thumb or shortcuts are taken.
I'll work on TAF next and I'll have a WH2O and AFM to try out soon. I'm sure the actual games themselves will be fun too
Quoted from rwalters21:Does anyone have some nice Fish Tales cards? Hint hint, my 2nd machine will be arriving shortly!
Nope, but if you'd like to loan me your FT for a while (to study the artwork) I'm sure we could work somethin out.
Congrats!

Send over some high-res photos of the FT apron (from top down and as square as possible) along with some clean shots from the cabinet and translite art, and I'd be willing to give it a shot. Sort of a hobby with me... and I love FT.
I usually make my own cards as well.
Unfortunately though, I tend to delete them AFTER I create/print them...
Here is what I used on my FTs. The instruction card was taken from some online source, Google search. The "price card" was taken from the flyer. All I did was delete out some of the background. Again, I liked the fact that M. Richie was on the card.
Quoted from ssathre:Here is the free play card I made for my TZ
I love this! IT does kinda look like Darren from Bewitched though bewitched_cartoon.jpg
I dig original looking cards, with a matching free play card. Sometimes, on colored paper. Otherwise, pretty vanilla here
Quoted from Supadave:Picked up a LW3 and since I wasn't too thrilled with the score cards I decided to make my own as well.
What kind of paper and printer do you guys use for these. They look great and i was looking to do something like this for my LAH. The LW3 ones look awesome.
I make custom cards for my games when I'm in the mood. Basically it has the machine name, when it was made, how many were made, what number the game is...etc. I also include when and where I bought it from etc....
People seem to get a kick out of it, especially since I dont think I've ever seen anyone read the pricing cards in home use anyways.
