On my centaur all lamps work as expected during the initial attract and game play. After a game when it goes into attract a single lamp stays on. It works fine if I go back into a game. The SCR tested fine and another I replaced it with.

Any thoughts how to track this down?

It may be a glitch in the code. What lamp is it? Have you looked at any youtube videos to see if other games behave the same way?

That's a good point. I'll do this.

Update, found on a couple different videos that this does not happen normally.

Which lamp is it? SCR on LDB or AUX LDB?

#6 8 years ago

LDB. It's 10 Bonus lamp Q34 to be exact. I've got a line on another LDB I can try

Try this.

Get the lamp stuck on.
Connect an alligator lead to LDB TP2 (ground) and tap it to the SCR GATE (marked on board as "G"). Does lamp go out? If it stays on you likely have a bad SCR "latching" on. Kind of like a shorted transistor.

If it goes out, then the SCR is performing correctly and you may have a bad U2.

the SCR gate "G" for Q34?

Same. I'll swap out the resistor as well but there's not much more in the circuit for this lamp.

Correction: Was Q35

Yes, Q34

Solved, A friend noticed the Match light was on at the same time. The pins for match and 10 were connected by a thread of solder on the LDB. Thanks everyone for your help.

I completely mis-diagnosed that one. Sorry.
