Hey everyone — wondering if anyone following this thread knows about or has played any Ibanez road stars from ‘83 to ‘86 or so..? I want to pick up a guitar to play in the office at lunch. Wanted to stay around $200 but realistically it’s prob gonna be 300 - 400 range unless someone can reccomend a good $200 - $250 one for general purpose, I play a js100 (on / off last 18 years). I like the look of the road star and seems like people like them? (Other than the early tremolos?) any advice or opinions? The marine blue rs315 looks gorgeous but not too sure about single pickup and the trem ...

Nice score RD! I just picked up a white roadhouse Strat yesterday, sounds amazing (the s1 switch is a little gimmicky, but does give it a little boost).. really happy with it overall. Mexico made but I have zero issues with it. ‘Blemished’ (return item) made it a lot cheaper than new.. love musiciansfriend- no shipping or sales tax

Just picked this up yesterday— 2012 deluxe ash. I love the wood grain showing. Noticeably lighter than my roadhouse Strat.

Anyone played a Cabronita at all? Wondering if they sound like a Tele at all or not so much? Is it like crossing an LP with the Tele?
