For a 63 year old machine ! Not bad. Having issues with the Ball Count not working and I’ll need to change out the chime / bell coils but everything else seems to work! Love these older games!
Hey old EM tech’s - this Piccadilly has one of the chime/bell coils bad. Even the tabs are broken off.
Newbie Question - replacing my flipper coils on a Hot Shot (to get stronger flippers for a buyer). - can i use one of those for my chime coil?
Or is there a voltage issue that could cause me trouble here?
It’s not the cost but if I have these as spares I don’t have to wait on an order delivery and I can fix this weekend.
Thoughts or comments?
10 hour road trip today and came home with 4 projects and 2 working games. That and the one delivered earlier this week and it’s been a good week over all!
Pin on!
Quoted from luckycreature:Pretty neat older Marshall logo blanket. I went to school at East Carolina, our schools histories will forever be intertwined.
Go Pirates! And yes. Long history. A friend of mine played for EC (Tommy pounds ). He told me when they came to Huntington for a game , they took the entire team to the memorial. Class act. Life is short - play pinball when you can !
PB pickers dream (even tho I had to get it by bidding) This was a gift to the man I bought it from. (Gift was from an HD exec, with a custom HD pool table!) seller was extremely cordial and showed us around the house (they are selling).
I wanted to remove the balls before breaking her down and had a little trouble getting the lockbar and glass off - the owner looked at me in amazement and said he didn’t know those came off. When I lifted the playfield it blew his mind!
I thought it was a 1999, but it’s actually a Feb 2000. So - almost 20 years old and literally brand new (IMO)
Manual (still in plastic) was just laying inside. The goodie bag and set up instructions were stuck in the coin bin.
Yes it needs a good cleaning. New rubbers. Perhaps some LED’s. But besides that I’m leaving this thing as is. It’s better than a refurb - it’s almost new now!
I’ve mainly been into the “get the old broken ones cheap and fix them up to play” type of collector but this was too good to pass up
Question : as somewhat of a newbie - the amount of plays for the year / condition - good deal?

And then we walk into this.....
If anyone is looking to buy a house in the Chicago area let me know.
For some reason, this hotel has really nice high ceilings...which really helps on the echoing of "all noises" - pop bumpers, chimes, etc. - so even though I can do some work, after say 6:00-7:00 PM, I have to shut down or the peeps upstairs do complain. (Then they start their diesel trucks right outside my window at 5:00 AM!) Love roadwork!
Quoted from dothedoo:What are the odds you and jesperpark pick up a Stardust in the same week?
Saw that! The story on mine has to be better tho! OMG! At first I thought I was being set up for a "Kidney Donor Program" and wake up later in a bathtub of ice somewhere. (Drove to Brooklyn, went downstairs alone with the seller, and then two bigger men were waiting downstairs...dark, narrow downstairs. Turned out they helped me carry the thing to my car! Amazing!)
For some reason some kids carved eyes & mouths into the cabinet's artwork people on mine (one side only)..ugh Mine needs some TLC. ok, a lot of TLC. Looks like someone tried to wire up the chime coil wrong and almost burnt their house down! WOW!
The "Nugent" will need a thorough cleaning. It was an actual barn find up here in NJ. It is smelling the car ride home up something fierce! (Not mice poop, gotta watch the for the "hantavirus" there..serious stuff)...mainly old mold smell..so got the 4-70 air conditioning going! (Just like riding with my pops in the 70s!)
Quoted from Tbpilot78:Ive never seen that cab before,is it good?
Amazing shape and all works. Owner didn't have the keys, and it was unplugged. Said it worked, struck a deal and took it home. Plugged it in and put some quarters in it and off we went playing golf in the garage! lol
Took a while but opened it up from the back, got the two lock sets off and found about $5 worth of quarters still in it! (no coin tray, but a cool old cigar box!) and of course the manual was still inside too!..wow!
I took several photos, each has a black line across at different points, but they only show up in photos, you can't see them on the screen while playing or looking at it. (Part of the old style monitors I presume?)
I'll clean her up, play it some, then off to the market!
Quoted from AlexF:Yeah, I did too. I just wish the cab on this one was as nice as yours.
“Rollinover” May be able to help you with that. He has one for sale
Well, It may not be a "real" pinball machine, but my 3 granddaughters did one heck of a job making me one for my birthday! Pop Bumpers, Pinball ready to shoot out, Flippers (and flipper buttons on the side, ok gumballs, but they looked great!) Yeah, the score reel is the birthdate!
So these little ones know something about these machines already! Had to share!
And no, I will NOT trade it for any game (Ok, maybe half of it is still left if someone needs a sugar rush!)
PB Cake (resized).jpgHad this one for a week or so now, but had to get the GI working before I'd post a picture here. All now working and looks great. Prior owner had installed the LED's, and actually delivered and set up for me - in my basement! It doesn't get better (easier) than that! Hardly and fade on the cabinet, very little playfield wear. Overall a great machine!

And moving crap around in the truck. Without you there, those stairs at least (very likely) could have caused my death. And I don’t want to die in Boston haha.
Thanks for this cool game. Don’t know where the hell I’m going to have 7 feet of wall space to hang it though...

Thanks to all of you - from Boston to Philly and now in Cleveland. The heart of rock and roll is still beating ! Right now it’s beating to Powerslave!

I was waiting on Colsond3 when he got home! Then had to wake him with bagels! This one was a true "Pinsider group" effort, amazing what we can do when we put our heads together!
Quoted from Colsond3:I really thought I was done for a while...but then somebody asked me if I wanted to do some hang gliding before work this morning.

Found one of those once and it turned out to be a great game. Playfield was great and action was smooth for its age. There was some flaking on the BG, but other than that I hated to see it go. Friend got it for her husband's birthday, couldn't say no ;-(
IMG_8949 (resized).jpgIMG_8951 (resized).jpgAnd a happy new year to me thanks to fellow pinsider “the wiz” - finally captured me a Captain! Needed very little work and she’s playing like new again! Love these old Bally’s !!
Picked this one up New Year’s Eve and sold my Totem New Year’s Day. It’s going to be a better year ! Good riddance 2020!

I thought the “Mars God of War” was a wide body @ 25 1/2”
Then came Laser Ball measuring in at 29”!
That’s a lot of playfield !

Love our Double Barrel. That one looks in pretty good shape from what I can see in the photo. Have 1 & 3/4 of one. Lol.
