I'd be interested to see what a Dalek without the stalk looks like. If only he could talk; I wonder how that happened. There's a lot of photos on the web... the design is pretty simple too...just a bunch of concentric circles. But, I think you need measurements more than photos. I can't for a few days, but if you don't have anything by the end of the week, PM me... I'll take some measurements.

That part is actually an "eye stalk" Search Google for "Dalek Plans" or similar. I searched images for "design for a Dalek eye stalk" and got a ton of useful stuff. Ask the group to make some basic measurements of the pinball version and you are on your way!
