I spent a few days at the new PHOF earlier this year volunteering as an EM tech. Tim and I had met casually at shows but didn't really know each other. I went in keeping in mind Tim's perspective of someone he barely knows coming in to work on his pride and joy. He explained how he wanted things done and I stuck to that. I also learned a few things I didn't know. I was given access to some parts and sometimes had to ask for parts mostly because I didn't know where things were. By the end we had a pretty good working relationship an I look forward to doing it again. Your mileage may vary.

To temporarily set EMs on free play I've soldered a toggle switch to one end of a length of two conductor wire and a pair of alligator clips to the other end. Then you can clip (or just solder) one end of the wire on to the jones plug in the back box or to the solder lugs on the credit unit and put the toggle switch on or near the coin door. Then just open the door and flip the toggle switch. Once it's installed it's probably faster than navigating the menus on an SS game.

    Quoted from LTG:

Maybe it's the installing on 100 games and removing later.
A lot of work for one day.

No doubt. But no need to remove them. I install them and leave them.
