Just quick FYI for interested parties that the Pinball Hall of Fame in Vegas is officially closing their old location today and reopening tomorrow for a “soft opening” at new location on the Strip, across the street from the Welcome Sign, just South of Mandalay Bay.

In the interest of full disclosure: I am a regular there and my daughter is a volunteer tech. I was not asked to post this info. Doing so on my own volition to inform the community.

    Thanks!

Nice, I am going to Vegas this Friday thru Tuesday so my wife can play in a few ladies poker tournaments. I will for sure visit the new location as I will have quite a bit if time to kill.

Any other pinsiders going to be out there this weekend?

I will take pics and report back...

    #3 3 years ago

    Next year visit is certain.

Any prelim game lists for the new location out there?
Grapevine says more of the good old school SS games may be added.
(Ex: Centaur, Seawitch, Flash Gordon, Frontier)..

    #4 3 years ago

Shoot, we were just there 2 weekends ago.

stop at the PHOF first and have your wife speak with tim.
he can teach her a thing or two about bluffing.

Do not expect a "finished" facility. We are moving games in and putting them in rows. We are NOT balancing or fine tuning them. This won't be much of a problem with the stuff we moved from Trop, as most of that is in really good shape.

Every day after the first day, things will improve. We have lots of people helping with getting games from storage re rubbered. cleaned and checked.

Pornge will be coming to his new home in a week or 2, after his humble servants have done all the work.

    #7 3 years ago

Question, will the Gold plaques with the names of those who have contributed $100+ be on display???

    #8 3 years ago

What are some of the nearest casino/hotels? I've never stayed at Mandalay bay. Anyone know how their poker room is?

    #9 3 years ago

Sweet...will be at Mandalay in August and will be sure to visit.

The poker room at Mandalay is so so- you get a 1-3 game I think for the most part. Sometimes a 2-5 but nothing bigger anytime I have played there. They do run daily tourneys as well. Great location to visit the PHOF though!!

I wondered why not the NY.NY. but then realized that Mandalay Bay was a haven for balding Jewish guys poolside in speedos.

Best poker rooms seem to be Aria, Bellagio, South Point & The Orleans.

    That doesn't even make sense.

When you go to Vegas do you seek out "Chicago pizza?" or the "illinois Blues Club?"

Nice. Thx. I will make sure to choose whichever one of those is closest. Sounds like a cream dream after this last year. Pinball and poker both in walking distance.

    #16 3 years ago

Walking distance from 14 of the 15 largest Hotels IN THE WORLD!

    #17 3 years ago

Should be a nice Fall destination. Only visit Vegas when the temps are cool and football games are being played.

I'll take 95-110° dry heat of Las Vegas over just 80° of humid Florida weather. Plus no Hurricane or tornado threats in Vegas....

    #20 3 years ago

I'll be there sometime next week.

Can't move pins but I'd be happy to help clean machines, etc.

    #21 3 years ago

Best wishes Tim and crew !

    LTG : )

My mother inlaw lives in Vegas

Iam going to convince my wife that we need to do a wellness check on her mom

    #23 3 years ago

Sweet! I'll be in Vegas May 14-16th. I may have time to swing by while I'm there.

    #24 3 years ago

And, it's a wrap for PHoF location two......

    #25 3 years ago

tim and charlotte should do a 'come on down' promo spot.

How can you finish your FH speaker upgrade when you’re in Vegas?

Greta news for PHoF location #3.. It looks like Nevada Guv Sisolak will open the State up 100% late tonight. Casinos, with PHoF operating the same way, will only require masks but no occupancy restrictions.

The Governor announced that he is opening Nevada at 100% on June 1st. Masks will still be required.

Masks are still a good idea and so painless. No problem with that!

As far as 50 percent or 100 percent, it makes no diff to us, since we are rated at 810 people and we are not yet anywhere near being full of games.

The Big Ass fans will stir the air a LOT, and the 40 foot ceiling height will give high volume of air.

I feel very safe being inside this wonderful new building!

I stand corrected. A confusing message came in from a Gaming Licensee.

Tim, staff, and moving crews are working their tails off moving pins/games/equipment and getting organized. Please don't judge the place by my pictures, or lack of them. This is only a small fraction of the pins already set up for play. It is a massive building! I look forward to playing some of the unique/unusual games in the upcoming weeks.

I like the spacing between games.

I love cool weather and betting on football games, in the Fall, while I’m in Vegas. That was my point.

    #34 3 years ago

Holy hell yeah!!! Thanks for posting photos of the inside. Ive seen the walkthrough video Tim did to show the vision... now, seeing it in the photo got me super excited!

Cannot wait till my job expands my bubble to visit Las Vegas!

Jealous of those who can go.

    #35 3 years ago

Great start! I'll be there early June for pleasure and late June for business (Amusement Expo International). I'm hoping their open to the public by then.

I wonder if that's permanent spacing or covid spacing?

    #37 3 years ago

Can’t wait to visit this winter!

    Quoted from RobertWinter:

I wonder if that's permanent spacing or covid spacing?

I believe it’s Covid spacing. In some areas, every other pin is turned off. They have the newer pins spaced at 6 feet so they are all powered up. Pinball Circus is currently placed in the center of the building. It’s going to be AMAZING!

Congratulations to all PHOF family and supporters.
This is a big win for our community and the hobby.

Visited today for the soft opening. This new building is huge. Obviously a work in progress, but man, this is so much bigger and nicer than the previous location. Congratulations to Tim and the team. Looking forward to watching the place take shape over the next few months.

Looks FANTASTIC! Can’t wait to get out to LV in person.

PLEASE KEEP THE UPDATES AND PICTURES COMING - I know it will be a while before I get to see the place in person but love seeing the progress any way I can.

which one of those signs is the billboard ?

    #49 3 years ago

I'll be in Vegas at the end of may. Will PHOF be open to anyone then or only members? It was a bit unclear from the video I saw on Facebook.

    #50 3 years ago

In the video last week Tim said he plans on being open to the public in early July.

He also said you can become a "club member" by buying a T-shirt, so I don't think it's any kind of a big deal. Just buy a t-shirt and you can be guaranteed entry in May.

I'll be in Vegas in August so I'll just buy my t-shirt then. Because lord knows I suffer a dramatic shortage of pinball t-shirts!
