I received my first order with the new invoice today. I already miss the old school carbonless copies, but what are ya gonna do. I got to talk to Steve and they’ve still got the lion’s share of what I need at the best possible price. Just glad he’s still plugging.

It’s Friday night and my paycheck is already spent…on doors and caps (and a few other things)

I just recovered my old, repressed love of pinball and what could I do but find PBR?! Man, what a great business! As most of you know, they are truly old school and know how to do their customers right. I ordered with Lou via email and received two orders already and to say the least, I’ll be going back to them first, next time and every time. I haven’t had a C.O.D. since I ordered a set of army men out of the back pages of a Fantastic Four way back in ’76, haha, but I think this is truly emblematic of what a great operation they have. I better not get started on coils and in-house parts and all the rest. Wow. Thank you, PBR people.

Typically when I order I get my package in about 3 days. Example, get the email on Friday by Tuesday im writing my check and sending it back.
This last order I got my email from Lou on 3/7 and still haven’t received anything in the mail.
What’s your guys’ turn around time lately? I don’t have a tracking number and I’m starting to worry.

An order last week arrived in 5 days. The week before in 3 days. Must be somewhere in the postal system.

Send an email over to verify. I usually receive an e mail from UPS about my shipment before it goes out. I’m not sure if they are still using USPS or not but my recent orders have been large enough to command UPS.

Lou emailed me a bit ago with the tracking. Still listed as pending in Poughkeepsie

I ordered on Monday and it was in my mailbox on Friday. Maybe a day slower than in the past, but still makes me happy

Their turnaround is incredible. It is not uncommon to be three days from Ny to Seattle some days more.

Lou doesn’t screw around. He must’ve found the post master and beat the crap out of him at his house on Sunday because this magically appeared in my mailbox today!

PBR had a few odds and ends I needed plus I wanted to restock my mylar.

Glad to see your order came through without a hitch after all (my two were within a week and via Priority Mail). What a great playfield undertaking you are taking on. That game takes me back to the Holi-dome Thanks for sharing. What a fine shop, too. Cheers!

Recently had a Jacks open follow me home, made a parts order today always call Steve. Everything went fine except Steve corrected one bumper cap that I had wrong. Had it been anywhere else I would have had the wrong bumper cap and my OCD would have gotten the best of me. Thank you Steve we got everything right the first time. This service is priceless.

Yes, then again, I like most of that era Gottlieb EM's.

Kinda wish I had the first invoice from The Pinvall Resource still. Made sure to keep the last carbon copy prior to the change over.

To tally up all the parts bought would probably be theequivalent of a few Jersey Jack Pinball machines of the Collector Edition style....

I bet you do I am at a little over $400 this month, bought two doors and misc last month. But where can you order anti lift-bracket; a hole bast plate and a hole switch arm. And by the way he knew the numbers for the base plate and switch arm. Ordering from Steve is regularly one of the best parts of my day. Get back to work Ken!

I typically place my orders with Lou via email and I can't say enough good things about him. I placed an order a couple weeks ago that included some coin door parts. I was using the Gottlieb parts catalog for the part numbers and Lou noticed that for one part, the catalog had listed the wrong number. (A rare mistake in the Gottlieb catalog.) I listed a description of the part, which is how Lou knew it didn't match.

Lou went back to the bill of materials for Sky Jump and found the correct part number, which, of course, they had in stock. Don't know what we would do with PBR!

Out of curiosity, what was the part? And the correct and incorrect part numbers? I'd like to make a note of it.

Page 67 of the 1978 Gottlieb Parts Catalog shows front door parts and a diagram of the coin lockout coil and associated parts. The diagram shows part A-557 "Spring" and an arrow points to the area where the spring is located, although it is not seen in the diagram (the spring holds the armature to the relay housing). But the arrow is also pointing to the interlock relay housing, which is not mentioned at all on the page. Lou identified part #A-557 as being the interlock relay housing and the spring is actually #A-574.

Same misprint with the 1976 catalog.
