Just posted a video on Stargate on the pinballninja website and how to fix this problem. in my opinion, try the cap thing (but for some reason i doubt that will do it)... which leaves you with updating to v4 of the stargate software or replace u11. the far less intrusive choice is to call steve young and order 742/4 and just plug it in. chances are you don't have a 74hc123 chip laying around (and a chip socket, and a hakko desoldering pump), so you would have to order something from somewhere anyways. Just call steve and get the latest stargate software revision. it's a good idea anyway.

updating the GROM should always be the first course of action, as it's the least invasive. very easy to ruin a trace when trying to remove u11. and having the latest software version is always a good thing. glad it worked for ya.

Turn game on it will show the actual grom revision. I'm betting it's v3. So yes get v4 from pbr.
