Quoted from Krupps4:

My take is that if you are going to ask $1000 for a topper at least try to make it look cool even if it is just cheap, crappy plastic. Like, make an effort. No effort was put into that topper whatsoever. I actually find it to be a bit insulting.

This!

Godzilla is one of Stern's best games to date and this flat plastic $1k topper is the best they can do? It's an embarrassment and IMO offers 0 value at the current price. Like you said it's a bit insulting as Stern must think "People will buy it no matter what". It's clear it was intentional not to put a lot of effort into it for the purpose of generating maximum profit. Same goes for that terrible looking $180 shooter rod for the game, another insult.

Only Stern has the marketing capability to make a few LED's and a plastic figurine sound like these amazing out of this world things. They have mastered this technique with their feature matrix's going down to even the most basic things. A spinner you say? Oh no, that's not a spinner it's a 360 degree ultra rotational spinner with smooth flip action.

Quoted from joelbob:

We had a blast tonight on stream. Stern hooked us up with Beta code so we were able to show off the Exclusive King of the Monsters Time Attack mode. I'm really impressed with how well the lightshow looks and the mode is a BLAST to play. Feel free to check out the stream!

So does this exclusive topper mode spoil the games King of the Monsters wizard mode and use assets from it? I stopped watching as don't want anything spoiled code wise once my premium arrives. Can this mode be played from reaching it within the main game or only at startup as shown in the video?

Quoted from joelbob:

I'm pretty sure it is the Final Final wizard mode so yes it would involve spoilers.

Quoted from bocce:

Monster Island Madness is the final final wiz mode

Thanks. Sounds like the new "exclusive" topper mode is one of the wizard modes, just that you can access it early? If so that's another negative IMO, thought it was something completely new and separate from the games existing rules. This sounds like how Ghostbusters allows you to play "Are you a God" on its own.

This isn't Ripley. Kinda looks like my grandma.

In all serious though this game is one of the best deals in pinball right now.

Quoted from J85M:

Topper is limited to 300 units? thats bullshit more than 300 owners are going to want this and its likely going to shift unit sales, limiting the topper limits those potential new units.

Just wait, nothing seems truly limited more. An anniversary edition or something will magically come out if there's enough demand lol.

Where's the audio callouts from the cartoons, is this a licensing restriction?
