Got gas this morning and the first prompt from the pump was asking if I wanted to donate to St Judes.
Ummm, no thanks - actually just here to get gas.

Got two takeout pizzas from a mom&pop place at the beach, paid with card and tipped $2 in cash. Standard?
Spent $150 on breakfast and tipped $30. Standard?
I put waitperson/food service in the same category as teachers and police. Obviously society needs their jobs but I wouldn't do them for 4x what they get paid.
Shocked guys savvy enough to work on pinball machines aren't using a browser that blocks YouTube ads. Using Brave and a Pi-Hole DNS blocker I rarely see any Internet ads or popups and videos work seamlessly with no interruptions.
Im using Android but I assume IOS folks can do a similar setup with a little work.
We have a music venue down by the beach, Freeman Arts Pavilion, that has gone to the tip screens with 20-25-30% options. The kicker is its 100% volunteer staffed so the money goes directly the owner of the venue...
Dishonest AF in my opinion for two reasons:
1. The Freeman family has been developing beach properties for over 50 years, I've seen their houses, trust me they don't need your $5
2. If the tip money is going to a 501c for other expenses there absolutely should be a sign at every register stating that tips are a donation to a specific charity.

Heard from a very reliable source that The Revolution Will Not Be Televised
Tipped the trash guys today, just can't win....my new provider splits trash and recycle into two trucks with different crews. Now tipping twice as much!
Pinside, where a bunch of rich old dudes bitch about alcohol prices?
This poor old dude travels concerts with several Tower** vodka 50ml bottles in his compression shorts and a handful of powdered Propel packets. All I need is some tap water and I'm set, I would be thrilled to be offered free cranberry juice! Ice? C'mon man I ain't nobody's VIP
** I'm sure Tito's works too but they have metal caps so being risk adverse I prefer the plastic capped Tower.
