The fact that these are apparently already for sale and no one knows the actual prices kinda says it all.

Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:Per leaked packaging sales strategy we know all models will cost distributors $7k. If ALL distributors agreed to sell their biggest customers their platinum edition for $7.6k (price of a gold edition), then every such big buyer would be getting the chance to buy the platinum for price of gold. Now if YOU were offered this deal - platinum Beatles pin for $7.6k, would you take it? I am thinking I would likely buy it, a platinum would be worth $7.6k. I feel sure it could resell for the same price or higher.
What if instead ALL distributors just agree to give me $1000, for being such a cool guy. "Hey Aurich, you made so many Pinside posts, have some money". If YOU were offered $1000 would you take it?
Seems about as likely a scenario. My PMs are open for anyone looking to hook me up. I promise I won't spend the money on a Beatles pin.
The Gold version is at least a little better than the giant headshots, but good lord, are they worried someone won't figure out this is a Beatles pin? How many times are they going to plaster the name across everything? It's on the Gold backglass 3 times ffs. And the coin door. And the side of the backbox. And the side of the cabinet. And the back of the playfield plastic. And the blade art.
Quoted from clg:Yes, I am excited. This is the license of a lifetime.
Joe and I have worked for a decade to get this license.
It's weird, to me at least, that a decade of work and all this excitement only warranted a retheme of an old layout. Couldn't even be bothered to make a brand new game.
