Quoted from Cobray:

With the exchange rate and if you paid for air shipping, it would have been a little over $10K.

I think it may be more... but not sure. The original was $8900 US per this graphic, but lets not forget there has been a price increase since for new machines going forward...

This haggis thread is and continues to be a dumpster fire...

Hard to not find this comical. If you look at their Youtube account, there are ZERO updates (ZERO!) for over a year for those dedicated Mermaid customers that had money sitting out, all with a "don't care, you don't need it" attitude. Now at the end it's a big middle finger to Mermaid owners and an attempt to cash grab at the expense of the exclusivity that those Mermaid owners were promised.

Really bad business move IMO. It would be hard to trust anything Haggis says now IMO. They could have just moved on to the next title, THAT is what everyone wants/is waiting for, and those that "missed out" on the Mermaid would be lined up to make sure they didn't miss out on the next game. Now there will be no rush to buy the "LE" version, and the dedicated customers that bought Mermaids will have to decide if they want to buy the next machine after getting burned.

Of course the non-Mermaid owners are happy here and not the guys that put up the money 2 years ago who were told this was "buy now or miss out". It's all about them (Haggis), not the past customers. I will vote with my wallet going forward.. no need to buy into that Centaur LE, I know that I can't trust that whatever will be limited will truly be limited anymore. No integrity is no integrity.

I wish Stern would offer me a Tron LE now and just say "we were at TPF and people were asking for it"!! Current Tron LE owners- Sorry!! I know I'm using Stern here, but it honestly applies to any pinball company that said options were limited and then they weren't.

I would think there would be more time/chance for something to happen in shipping by going the sea container route? All that time to get to the USA then it still has to be shipped across country to my door. My thought that if it got damaged on the boat, it would continue on it's way for the duration and by the time I got it, the shipping damage claim and dealing with a machine that came from another country would be a nightmare.

There's something to be said about a machine already here that's been produced and arrived in good shape in my book.
