are you talking about the popup target (with castle sticker on it) that's in front of the ramp that goes up to the upper playfield?

i haven't looked under my playfield recently, but...
when i've had solenoids that need to fire directly up like this, sometimes the grommet that's spacing the bottom of solenoid from the steal bracket, falls out and when the solenoid gets energized to fire, it magnetizes itself to the steal bracket and can't fire.
i've had that happen on 2 other previous pins.
total guess without looking under the hood.
