Game - for sale

For sale: Dungeons & Dragons (Bally, 1987)

Condition: Used - shows wear but 100% working and clean

Price

$ 1,200

Selling a D & D that was shopped topside. Playfield is nice with full mylar. Cab has some nicks and scuffs. Everything off the playfield, new starposts, rubbers and balls. I blew one of the displays when adding leds with the voltage maxed out at 190 so all incandescents. New glass display soldered into the display board. She's just missing the topper sadly. Can deliver to Allentown with a deposit. Will try to get pics up tonight

Hi MB after taking pics of the SS in the shed I moved inside and took pics of the D&D. I can't create a photobucket and upload them like I did this afternoon with the SS. I'll load em up here, keep in mind the other display is out so I can replace the 2n5401 transistor.

What does this mean? Can you not add LED bulbs to D&D?

1st time this has ever happened to me. The voltage was at the max 190 and I didn't check it before I replaced the flame inserts and the stand up targets with leds. The extra voltage that was saved loaded up and blew the 2N5401 transistor for the thousand digit of the 3rd player and burned up the million digit for the 3rd player. I bought a new glass and soldered her in and found the open transistor,(Q22) and replaced her. She's now up and running

any idea if there is a way to prevent this when adding LEDs?

Thanks Hilton, my guess would be to check the voltage beforehand and dial down the voltage so you're not at the threshold when you save the extra voltage with the leds that can put you over the top.
