I just went with these. Read that people just removed the old decals and placed them right on. They have stuck pretty good. The ball will deflect somewhat on the edges of these decals because they are raised. Sometimes it can be noticeable and other times it's not. It's unpredictable when the ball is slow because that's when it's most affected and can throw off trajectory. I haven't decided on clear coating this playfield. I know that should be the route I go to but is just a touch up job. I also don't have much knowledge or experience clear coating. I'm currently just going to play the machine now that's completed and presentable. Hopefully the 20 layers of wax hold it well. So far so good.
The touch ups probably won't last long without clear coat or mylar...
