At Expo they indicated the team was debating the next license to pursue. I’m sure some of the themes below have major challenges, but off the top of my head here are some titles I think could be successfully incorporated into a pinball machine. What say you?

Here is a summary 2 days after posting. I have added approximate counts where a title was mentioned more than once:
2001: A Space Odyssey (3)
Breaking Bad (5)
The Blues Brothers (2)
Caddyshack (5)
Monty Python and the Holy Grail (3)
The Beatles
The Princess Bride
Pink Floyd (3)

Additions from thread postings summary:
Battlestar Galactica (2004 TV series) (2)
Kill Bill (3)
Pulp Fiction (2)
Evil Dead (2)
The Fifth Element (5)
Clockwork Orange (3)
Devo
Steampunk (3)
Sherlock Holmes League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2)
Blade Runner (4)
Superchicken (added reluctantly, as it would need to be paired with George of the Jungle to work)
The Matrix (2)
Donkey Punch
The Rocky Horror Picture Show (3)
Jaws (2)
Killer Klowns From Outter Space
Goonies
Space Balls (2)
Piranha
007
Harry Potter (2)
Weekend At Bernies
Mission Impossible
Labyrinth
Coneheads
The Munsters (2)
Futurama
H.G. Wells (2)
The Piano
Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2)
Game Of Thrones
Mad Max
Saturday Night Live

Their next release should be releasing something.

How bout Superchicken. I always liked that cartoon.

Adding Battlestar Galactica (2004 TV series)

#6 9 years ago

Other than the popularity of the show, I don't understand why people think Breaking Bad would be a good theme for a pinball machine. I actually can't think of many popular shows that would make for a *worse* theme. Modern Family, I suppose.

#7 9 years ago

After seeing what they could do with TBL, a Kill Bill or Pulp Fiction would be awesome.

#8 9 years ago

I don't necessarily disagree. But if TWD sells surely there is a market for Breaking Bad. There are plenty of battles that could be modes.

I think it will be a cult hit like Kill Bill, Evil Dead, or Pulp Fiction. Wonder if Tarantino would be up for something like that.

#10 9 years ago

It's The Fifth Element

#12 9 years ago

CADDYSHACK

That would super sweet!

I'd bet they could pull off an eerie 2001 Space Od. also... that would be a cool theme.

#13 9 years ago

Clockwork Orange!

#14 9 years ago

Devo would make a great pop bumper cap.

#15 9 years ago

Yeah. Caddyshack has been ripped off twice. I wonder what a pin could be like with actual movie call outs and Bill telling you what to shoot at.

I'd love to see a steampunk themed pin. I know Captain Nemo is that direction, but super limited run.
Maybe the newer Sherlock Holmes movies or League of Extraordinary Gentlemen would work.

On a totally different note, Blade Runner might be cool.

yes

#18 9 years ago

A Holy Grail pin could be an amazing endeavor!

#19 9 years ago

The matrix would be sweet and don't tell me there is one already unless I can buy it.

#20 9 years ago

Not enough choices for me to pick from.

It's been done, but I'm not sure if it's for sale... and it's the Dutch again

Pulp Fiction......pleeeeeeaaaaaaase!

Retheme TBL to kingpins?

#25 9 years ago

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

#26 9 years ago

Jaws, Killer Klowns From Outter Space, Goonies, Space Balls, Piranha, 007, Harry Potter, Weekend At Bernies, Mission Impossible, Labyrinth, Coneheads, Fifth Element

#27 9 years ago

Seeing what they did with TBL I think they could knock this title out of the park...

Monty Python…

#28 9 years ago

The Munsters

#29 9 years ago

Futurama

#30 9 years ago

After watching the presentation, I kept thinking Pulp Fiction would be perfect fit for Dutch Pinballs next game. Bruce Willis singing Captain Kangaroo on the display would be worth price of admission. Many other killer songs to use too.

#31 9 years ago

Something from H.G. wells

#32 9 years ago

I would love several of these options, but I can't help thinking about whether the issues that keep arising from licenses is really worth it. They can't put Kahlua on TBL? No pinballs can interact with Smaug? Those things really limit how good a pinball can be. I am still a believer in unlicensed themes.

#33 9 years ago

Pulp ficition by a country mile. The amsterdam tie in is kinda neat, too.

#35 9 years ago

Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy...

Or this:

#36 9 years ago

5th Element could be cool.

But these guys doing Pink Floyd - just take my money

#37 9 years ago

A lot of those themes would have a limited audience. I think Blues Brothers would be the best candidate. It has a wide range appeal, great music, humor, and lots of great scenes. You can have modes for gathering the band, playing gigs, and finally the over-the-top car chase in the end.

#38 9 years ago

Pulp fiction is not a limited audience and provides the same kind of quotes to the game as they have done hear.
Perfect match!!

I always thought kingpin would be a great theme for pinball.

#41 9 years ago

I also would absolutely love the original Addams Family (60's tv show) and of course the ultimate movie, Big trouble in Little China.

#42 9 years ago

Fifth Element would be awesome,
Ghostbusters would be cool

#43 9 years ago

Seeing what they did with TBL, Pulp Fiction would be epic......

Ezekiel 25:17 Multiball.....

If they did Kill Bill, my check would already be in the mail. The movie is just begging to be made into a pinball machine. It's got great quotes, great music, and the plot perfectly lends itself to a pinball ruleset. Each mode would be you (The Bride) vs. a different member of the Deadly Viper Assasination Squad. The fight against the Crazy 88 would be the mini wizard mode, and you would have to complete all the modes to reach Bill.

#48 9 years ago

I kind of feel like these guys can be the go to cult pinball specialists!

I'd love to see a Mad Max or a Saturday Night Live pin…..
