Hello everybody, as you no doubt have guessed... I'm Gerard. Together with Dennis I made our Matrix dream come true this year and we'd like to share it with you.
On our Facebook page you can read all about our Matrix pinball machine.
A complete make over of Johnny Mnemonic with all new rules, software and art.
We just uploaded a short movie of the Morpheus mode, to give you an idea what the Matrix is all about.
Feel free to give us your feedback!

Looks amazing! Very nice. Very cool. Well done!!

Big fan of the theme. I think it looks great. The sound seems great, but I think I would have liked something more recognizable for music, I guess, for me. Lots of great music on the sound track. Not sure I like the font you choice to use for the DMD, but with the video rotated it is hard to get a feel for it. I'm a big enough fan of the theme that it doesn't really make a difference to me.

Wow, from what i can see it looks amazing! Are there any good photos of the playfield?

#7 9 years ago

Want!! Amazing job! I have a whitewood Mnemonic, too...

#21 9 years ago

Amazing and nice job.

#22 9 years ago

I 2nd that! My thought exactly

#23 9 years ago

That is amazing, color and music really pop. If I had a JN I would die to have that done to mine.

#24 9 years ago

Pretty sweet. Funny to me that you rethemed a Keanu movie themed pin into another Keanu movie. Just curious, why JM? My guess would because the current theme and design seemed to fit?

#25 9 years ago

More GI light shining across center playfield. Nothing major but just to show a little artwork during play and keep ball from getting lost.

I was thinking the exact same thing!

Almost got me there with the video looping of that shot. Or was it a loop? LOL

#28 9 years ago

No loop its just back when Gomez thought out his designs more.

#29 9 years ago

Why didn't anyone do this pin 10 years...sort of seems like a no-brainer, given they made 3 movies.

#30 9 years ago

No tricks on that backflipp loop.
Gomez was impressed (-;

I've been bugging you guys about this game and the demo man one for a while! So excited to see more gameplay Looks freaking amazing and I would do pretty much anything to get one.

Wow, do you want my JM to experiment on next?

#35 9 years ago

Woah.

#36 9 years ago

Thnx everyone.

My idea is to transform a JM in to a The Matrix go way back.
I always had the idea that the movie JM was a prequel of The Matrix
but most of all, i love JM the pinball machine.
I have about 35 Machines (MM,CV,CC,MB you name it) and the JM is my favorite.
we spend a year to realize this, 2000 men hours and eleven people that help me.
Dennis van de Pas did a 1000+ hours work in the software (P-Roc).
The playfield is airbrush with 40 layers of clearcoat.
Here,s another gameplay video made by Pinball News at the Dutch Pinball Open.

Wow!
Above and beyond cool!

#40 9 years ago

40 layers of clearcoat? The clearcoat would be thicker than the playfield itself. Looks great tho.

I was wondering about this myself, how is that possible??

Great project though! How do you people find the time... I can barely keep up with maintenance on mine, and playing once in a while...

#42 9 years ago

It's really amazing. Any plans to make a kit available.....ever?

I know quite a few would pay handsomely for a kit.

Heck I'd do it even without the playfield art.....just the ROM's and playfield parts.

And yes I would pick up a JM just to be able to add this.

#43 9 years ago

40 layers and 35 sanded off during leveling

#44 9 years ago

I hope I wasn't the only one to catch this ? Funny!

Wow, I guess i've been doing it wrong. I need to spend $700 in clear to level a playfield. :/

#46 9 years ago

Wow thats amazing!

#47 9 years ago

Can you give us any insight into how easy/difficult it was to work with PROC and what API you used?

#48 9 years ago

Pretty cool stuff! If there was a mass-produced Matrix pin, it might be my holy grail on theme alone, so nice to see someone take the time to make it a "reality".

#49 9 years ago

Great Job!

#50 9 years ago

cool lookin machine, well done.
