Quoted from davewtf:Beautiful game. I am, however, curious as to why you paint the inside cabinet sides all the way to bottom as opposed to doing a gradual fade/overspray like the factory. I am not criticizing, just wondering why. I guess it's pretty darn obvious that everything else is "better than new' so why not make that more appealing as well.
I get ask that often.
For me I just like the look and consistency of it.The factory cabinets are all over the place from title to title and even game to game so it makes the most sense to have one pattern and process unless it has to be done differently for the sake of the build.Creature is the only one that comes to mind there. The floor has to be black in some areas.
Here are examples of the inconsistencies I am faced with using just the current games in process and why I stay with a standard system in the interest of a nice look and consistent results.
Medieval madness too the floor and beyond.

Twilight Zone barely past the playfield edge but with a little overspray around the chocks here and there.

TOTAN #2
Less than TOTAN #1 but more of an effort to paint the chocking here and there.
