    Quoted from applejuice:

Its mainly designed for a replacement of boards MA766 and MA866 but should work with other games that use flavours of either of these boards.

When i have something to share i will update the thread. I work on many different projects at once and there is only so much time in each day, plus i'm just 1 guy, not a hundreds strong enterprise like stern or something...

Thanks for the update, I'm glad this project is moving forward, at whatever pace!

Fairly certain I would be in to buy if compatible with system 3
    machines.

wow !! so it s like a pinsound project but for gottlieb pinball

    i love it !

could be so nice on pinball like stargate... ( system 3 )

    Hello

I thought back to your project.

    concept (resized).png

If I understand correctly the difficulty is to do the mapping of the 8 A6P1 inputs to an arduino mega 2560 (and then drive a wav trigger. like https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13660)

I may also be doing a test since I have all the tools on hand.

Did you manage to understand how is coded the 8 inputs A6P1?
I suppose there must be a matrix to define the coding to pass to the map 'S4 ribbon'?
Or the coding remains simple with a single pin to 0 and the switch is in operation of a clock?

good luck and if you can share the matrix I could try too

    Quoted from applejuice:

This project has been much more complex than first thought but we are getting there now. The sound board logic is much more than just 'play this sound Id' it turns out

could you share with us what is the logic of the 9 pin plz ?

    thank u

    see you

    Hello

here is some first quick test i just did with an arduino to "read" the matrice sound :

we can see on the second line the inpit value change from 0 to 1....

the big work part is ( for the software ) to "define" the matrice ( 0001001001 = what wav file ) and the rules between musix & voice & fx ( repeat / pause / replace / interrupt )

i suppose the hardware part is the easyer of the project... ?

    see ya

    Yo

so i success replace the sound board.

Have still some tuning to do but it works.

Now i just have to replace the original wav file in the sd card. And put some logic for random sfx some time

I got all wav sound using Pinname with stargate Roms.

    recording and cloning protype :

the one that replace the sound board :

    video coming for last prototype.

i am unsing and arduino mega and a wav trigger.

the raspberry is use only for remote setup & monitoring.

at least i hope replace the arduino mega by a nano one and maybe find a wav trigger cheaper

So for information the sound code is code on 8 bit.
If you put the bit in the good order and convert the binary to dec you got the same number of track you extract from Piname.

then you have two binary number for control :
    0 = stop
    126= ( or 128 d'ont remember ) = cross fade.

Music track call replace each other.

    that s all...

Please can you stop spamming my product development thread with your own experiments. I am developing a professional drop in replacement sound board for 80b and system 3 games. I'm not sure why you have taken over my thread with your personal experiments. Also the sound boards are 4 channel not 1 and they interact with each other in differing ways during game play. A simple wav trigger isnt going to handle it very well, other than for basic changes.

Sorry man, I thought the project was abandoned.

Since I had no response from you in mp...

If not in the end I finalized the concept and I will do another post as requested.
    Good luck

sorry again. my intention was only to share ideas between passionate people.
I absolutely did not want to do any harm.

And as the subject was similar I thought I was in the right place ...

sorry again, i hope you will succeed
