The Tron/DOT says internet connectivity of some sort so you maybe able to play with others? I think the 1UPs are kinda cool looking and for what you get. They get panned by some but they're target customer is a Harry Homeowner that doesn't want to spend a small fortune on a 40 year old game the size of a vending machine. Hell, I had an original Tempest that was a PITA maintenance wise to keep working with the color vector. The thing got a hot as a pizza oven when being played also - even with added fans blowing. I'll love playing my original DOT and always on the look out for Tron cabaret 
If I didn't have the DOT I'd pick one of these up just because its such a cool game.
