    CONGATULATIONS Rob!!!!!!

    What a great product!!!!

What Rob did not tell is the fact, that the board was not only tested by his close friend in the US, but even here in germany. I had the pleasure, to get one of the prototype boards for testing - Rob did a really good job.

What are the advantages of this board?

    - perfect precision hardware-design, professional individual PCB for pinball machines
    - sweet little board, not bigger than the ram-chip itsself
    - nice slikscreen with extra warning-hints for PIN1
    - replaces both 6264 and 6116 RAMs
    - simple to configure by just a little solder blob
    - very good price for this professional board
    - the little "secrets"***
    - burn in tests in many machines before going into market
    - Rohs conformity (important for the EU-market)
    - lifetime warranty
    - and the most important thing: Rob is a really good guy

*** What are the little "secrets"? Rob really thought about everything. There are some "secrets" on the bottom of the board for future options, if needed. E.g. you can configure the board for Capcom-compability, can add some resistors and a cap if needed, pads are prepaired on the bottom of the board, there are also some small solder bridges for future options.

I am looking forward, to finally hold one of the final boards in my hands.

Support Rob with this great product.

    Quoted from CaptainNeo:

These will not work in capcom games, as there are no batteries in capcom games. Just to clarify things.

    Quoted from Borygard:

Oh but there are, and they will.
Capcom used a battery backed up RAM. The battery was part of the RAM IC. anyPin 6116/6264 and anyPin DMD+ work great in Capcom games.

YES, anyPIN DMD+ will work in Capcom games and can replace U14.

There are batteries, but you cannot see them. Capcom uses a 28 pin 6264 RAM chip with a battery mounted on the top of the chip, all in one IC-housing (http://www.soemtron.org/downloads/disposals/m48z08.pdf). If the battery inside this chip dies, you have to replace the whole chip.

    NVRAM solves this problem.

    Quoted from Borygard:

Now included with all anyPin NVRAM Battery Eliminators; No More Batteries stickers!
A lot of my products are to get batteries off of pinball CPU boards. They don't belong there, they leak and cause way too much damage, way too easily. However, having an empty battery holder on a board can be far too tempting to fill with batteries. A new owner of a game, a family member that doesn't know, or even if you forget that anyPin NVRAM Battery Eliminators were installed, at some point someone may install batteries back on a board that doesn't need them. Enter the No More Batteries sticker...

    Quoted from CaptainNeo:

I'm going to put one in my Humpty Dumpty.

    Quoted from Borygard:

So the question becomes; will you be able to put it back together again?

    Quoted from CaptainNeo:

not without taking lots of pictures.

    I have already done this.

WTF, it was a difficult work, two external wires for /CE and OE.

And ROB - please write into your installation guide, that anyPinDMD+ has to bet set to 6116-configuration.

    Quoted from neurokinetik:

Put one in TZ last night, and put in the 5101 version in Blackout as well. Now there are no batteries in any of my games. Removed the battery holder on the WPC89 MPU while I was at it. Unfortunately, I had to void my warranty by moving the sticker off the 6264 IC. Oh noez, what will I do now if it breaks?

Thanks for the foto - worldwide first foto with the new anyPin DMD+ in a real machine ....

    Quoted from Clnilsen:

Ugh.. yeah this is probably on me but I thought this was a plug & play. So, which socket do I need to order?

BUT be careful, when you solder on this CPU-board, the traces are very delicate.

If you don not have a HAKKO 808 desoldering gun, here my 10 Cent (a needle 0,6mm) method, I posted sometime ago:

    @Rob:
Is there something to observe in a Rottendog WPC98 CPU Board (Part Number MPU089). In U8 there is a U62256ADC07LLG1. I have no experience with the RD-CPU-Boards. Are there jumpers to be changed?
