Flag 3 (Double Bonus) not working correctly.

Flag flips over but does not seat all the way down. This is due to the pins that push the flag over not retracting all the way down.

This is in both directions so that the double bonus ends up being lit most of the time... and after the ball drops and the score is posted.

Any way to correct this?

Can you post a close-up shot of the flag? Not familiar with them.

He's talking about the blocks that flip over on the right side of this picture.

You have a melted/dirty coil sleeve, or the coil stop is broken.

I wanted to see a close up of the pins involved.

Agreed, they (the pins) could be bent. But, they can't bend from just normal play and wear. The upper coil retainer bracket could be loose, causing misalignment and binding. I did not think of that earlier.

did not see any evidence of the pins being bent

here's some bottom pics

Had the same problem several years ago. Just cleaned the contacts and maybe did some adjusting. If it's that little pin that's supposed to to flip the flag that's holding it up I'd look here. Just compare how the other three work and that might fix it.

I oiled the shaft on the flag solenoid with sewing machine oil...above and below the solenoid. That did it...the flag now drops all the way to the playfield and works fine!
