I have a problem and that is that in my iron man there are too many balls balls ... the left ramp from the right flipper is almost impossible, I have to put the machine at minimum height and the coils at the minimum force and even so when climbing the ramp seems to stick to the top and goes flying to the board, a couple of days ago review everything with novus, will be because of this? Someone else happens? Thanksss

Anyone at TPF manage to ask Lyman in person about possibly revisiting the code? There is a code discussion thread a lot of people would like a proper skill shot and some champion leaderboards - bogey champion, ironmonger champion, whiplash champion etc

Just joined the club! Picked up an iron man with only a handful of plays! Person bought it new and just never played it but did put CoinTaker LEDs throughout! Already ordered flipper fidelity speakers and CoinTaker shaker motor and mirror blades. My friend put in the updated code as well for me that has custom music like Black Sabbath so I’m super happy! Next up is get some more OT and pick up the interactive backbox light kit.

What is your updated code? Is it mine with Black Sabbath Iron Man for the Game Over part?

I don’t know , maybe. My friend installed it before he brought it over but at the game over it does start playing Black Sabbath iron man. Doesn’t play the whole song though, only about 10 or 20 seconds or so of it. Is that your code? I like it.

Maybe it's my code, i also change musics for Whiplash and War Machine MBs, Bogey and Iron Monger. If you like it, then thank you
IM is a great game, my favorite Stern

I know it has been asked before, but just checking to see what people recommend as far as the LCD or the LED colorDMD for iron man. I’m not sure, but I think my spiderman vault has the LED version ( was put in by previous owner) Not sure how to tell them apart. Cost isn’t an issue since it’s only a $30 diff. The video I see on their website I think is the LED version????? Any help help would be greatly appreciated. Maybe a link to a LCD color dmd iron man and a LED colorDMD iron man?

The LCD ramps the levels of brightness more evenly, so you can see the difference better in the darker shades. The LED brightness levels get closer together the lower they get so details get lost. I'd always recommend the LCD for movie clip Stern games (Batman, Spiderman, Ironman, Indy, GOT, etc)

I like LCD better as well, but either way you will be happy.

Well I sent Lyman a polite email about IM code - stuff that’s been spoken about here and in other IM threads, like skillshots, champion scoreboards etc, no response as of yet, imagine he’s real busy with BM66 (he replied to my email about BM66 code, which was awesome!) among other things.

I thought my new apron addition was pretty cool, until I saw koops and @grinder901's submissions above!

Here it is anyhow: I sent Mr Borg a letter, through the, *gasp*, MAIL! I included a custom apron card with room for signature designed by Aurium (to match his beautiful cards he already has available) and an SASE to have the signed card returned.

One week later, it arrived. I asked for it to be personalized, to match the rest of my signed apron cards, but alas, he didn't. Still happy to have this cheap "mod" on my IM. It is something that can be easily removed and displayed in the gameroom if the game is ever sold.

Saw the discussion around code. I just bought a HOU Iron Man from a pinhead here locally a few weeks back. Installed the code that says, “Truth is. I am a Ironman” at the end of the game and then plays the Iron Man song.

Has anyone that has this code considered adding Back In Black to the beginning of the game? That was of course was the intro music of the first and best movie. I don’t know how to do it myself but thought it would be a great addition to what is already a nice upgrade to the code.

Can't believe you let Iron Man go before Avengers? Avengers would be the first to go out of that line up for me.

Avengers is a very underrated game. In le form it's a great game with tight shots and some interesting modes (if you ever make it it to them).

A lot of hate gets pushed on it because it's tough as nails and a lot of wood chopping (unless you ease up on the difficulty settings).

Yes, I own one and am slightly biased, but being an owner changed my original opinion about it.

Avengers getting push back?! How can that be when:
- The code took how many years to get to be mediocre?
- The plastics block all the out-lanes making it almost impossible to see how to nudge or make lane changes for the inserts
- The black widow ramp is tight as hell and in a weird spot with weird angles
- The extra ball hole gets rejects more often than successful hits and is mostly pure luck getting it in
- The game has ZERO flow and very few "feel good" shots
- It's the definition of chopping wood (even worse than Transformers)
- The overall art package is very weak

I'll stop with that and refrain from digressing from this Iron Man thread anymore... But yeah, shocked to see IM go before Avengers. The others are definitely keepers in my book (STLE is the definition of what an LE should be, wow is that a beautiful game).

I can respond to it all, but yes, this is an iron Man thread.

That said, I'd turf avengers well before my IM as well. Just saying a lot of people don't give the game a fair chance.

Side note, my four year old got to Jericho on ball 2 today. Almost had the do or die hurry up and jericho ready on ball one, but needed one right ramp first for "We got a bogey." I got my top score the day after I brought the game home, haven't even come close since, over a year later. I didn't have a clue what I was doing, now I know what I'm doing and I am worse off for it. I rarely get over 30 mil. Keeping the ball alive on IM is the best advice I can give, and good luck! This game will beat you down, but it is a thrill when everything lines up, and then you miss a shot and drain SDTM.

I’m leaving the club, after 6 years. I’m trading my IMOG to a friend for his GOTG. I can see IM coming back into the fold some day, but I was ready for a change. GOTG certainly owes a lot to IM for its layout, and I hope it kicks my butt as hard as IM has all these years.
