Old relays and contact switches, sometimes does not move runners to home after Home run but only to 3rd.
Sometimes runs are not tallied properly have mechanical disks for score. Maybe needs cleaning?
Anyone familiar with this 1950's electro mechanical technology will be helpfull, thanks

Yes, Star Slugger is the Cadillac of Baseball machines..
Maybe you can search for someone in your area to show
you a couple things on cleaning and going through the
mechanics of your machine. It really should be fully gone
through for it to work smoothly and properly.. (T)

Mine always runs great when I play it regularly. When I let it sit for a while, like I did recently, the scoring reels don't always turn properly or don't reset to zero. Usually a little lube will fix it.

The problem is that I just don't have the time to keep up with it these days.

the biggest problem is that when a home run is hit the runner only goes to 3rd base.

If the Men-Run-the-Bases motor is running slow, this will happen.
There's a small tail on the motor's armature that pulls in when energized,
and out when the motor stops running. Just a couple drops of light weight
oil on that tail could help this out..
When a Home Run is hit, the Home Run Relay does energize, right?

yes the relay activates. Oiled , no change

    Bump.
I'll be interested in hearing how this works out for you, Fred.
Mine, coincidentally, had just started giving an occasional home run for a triple, a triple for a double etc. I'll get back to looking at it next week.
