Hi there
I am glad you sorted it, most TZ owners have gone through this. I still have the original board in my clock works fine after I re soldered a couple of components on it.
I have replaced the original incandescent bulbs with 86's LEDs from coin takers the same used on CFTBL, I find these work well.
