How late are you in the museum
We have full day tickets and are getting there from 12 noon when it opens. Quite probably there all day mate

It is a 2 coil setup from some Williams machine,dunno which one,bought it on ebay from a dude.

It's basically a smart drop using a button instead of a drop target head. Same setup, only a different plastic piece.

You can literally buy the stern hidden post kit, and put the pop up cap on it for the same mech. Both available at PBL
Today we work on the mech almost all parts are printed. And Bas have make a steel tod for the coil

Stainless steel is non ferrous, therefore non magnetic.
Bi Metals are also low ferrous depending on the chemistry, so it would be poorly magnet if at all as well.
