    Quoted from johnwartjr:

present collection - 2 CFTBLs, TZ, IJ, T2, WCS x2, 2 I500s. In all fairness, I no longer own the I500s, but I do know the history of them since restored, and they have not had any issues.
I do follow the cleaning with a thorough rinse, dry connectors with a compressor, and leave the harnesses out in the hot direct sun when possible. Also hang them for a week or more to make sure they are really dry!
You'd probably freak out if I posted how I clean PCBs

What is your method?I have some nasty brown stuff from I guess years of bar smoking on my IJ boards.

    Quoted from NJGecko:

Little harness cleaning on a sunny afternoon...
Wife and neighbors giving "what's wrong with this guy?" looks....

Heavens! How do you know where all that stuff goes when you put it back in the game? You have photographic memory?

I've been doing this for over 10 years no problems. probably about 20+ complete swaps on all eras without issue.

    Quoted from robbiev:

Im thinking WTF are you doing! Boy oh boy the problems your gonna have with the game that's going back into. Give it about 3 years, you will have rust climbing under the insulation on every wire.
