You know the old saying 'every dog has his day'? With the odd exception, distributors have had their day(s) for a long time! Remember, nothing lasts forever.
The wise distributors will have saved much of their profits for a 'rainy day', of which there are surely many more rainy days to come. Those that didn't save, in my humble opinion, are in for a rough ride.
Should we feel sorry for them? Of course not. Many distributors were not satisfied with the full MSRP profit, so even started charging for shipping of Sterns, that had previously always been free, if I remember correctly.
Can we blame them for squeezing every last penny from a buyer? Probably not but many NIB buyers have long memories.........
