The volume is much too high on my T3. Based on advice in other threads and Service bulletin 133 ("for Monopoly and Austin Powers only") I am thinking about replacing R106 with 10k and R110 with 33k. If I interpret the colors correctly (image below) R106 is 22k and R110 is 100k.

Am I doing the right thing here?

The volume is very high when I set it to "level 1" (and the sound goes away when set to zero). As mentioned in other threads (for other whitestar games): "The issue is the DAC works best when the signal level is high and gets static/crackly when the level is low."

I just wanted to check if someone has tried replacing the resistors (according to the service bulletin).

The question is: Will Service Bulletin 133 work on my machine?

I got no answer here. I got no answer in another thread. I got no answer from Stern support.

So, I took a chance and replaced the two resistors. And it worked! I can now increase the volume, the hum is gone and the sound quality is better.
