Hi All
I realise most of the 1230 Spirits went to Europe but I'd still like to run this poll to see how many people would be interested in a reproduced playfield set.
I won't be doing it but maybe someone who see's the poll results may be tempted to do it!

For those people in Europe that have a Spirit please ask your fellow Spirit owners to join in and add themselves to the poll.

The last poll option is a fantasy option obviously but wouldn't it be cool.....

#2 8 years ago

I think we'd be dreaming for this to happen but it would be nice!

Why haven't you listen yourself as a Spirit owner?

#3 8 years ago

I haven't listed as yet as the Spirit I own is located in Europe, so I have one but its just not at my home. It is awaiting a bulk buy of other games to happen so it can shipped back to NZ so it could be a long while before it gets here. I do have the serial number for it though.

#4 8 years ago

What about plastics?

#5 8 years ago

Plastics were done

#6 8 years ago

Spirit plastics (including the disc) have been reproduced.

I'm sure that a few here would vote yes for new playfields.

#7 8 years ago

Really? Where can you get them.

Edit: Found them!

Now... How about back glasses?

#8 8 years ago

Not likely to be done any time soon, sorry.

Best game ever! Just had my PF restored and cleared. Sweet!

#10 8 years ago

You can buy the plastics from Marco's, its the first thing i bought when i got a spirit! my originals are all fine but you never know.

Bummer, that's a bummer dude. how much would it be for you to just get your spirit sent over?

#12 8 years ago

That's my last resort option - don't know as yet. As its basically the only game I really want , or can afford I am going all out to get one. Hope I like it as I've never played one. Saw TNT 's video on it and was blown away by the hard rules. Then the search was one..... but everyone else caught on to the game as well.... The one I have needs works but will be a reasonable example.

I have three spirit's at this moment, two with nice ( restored ) pf and one with still the original mylar and looking for a new owner.

#15 8 years ago

You can reproduce the playfield window yourself - I had to do it for my refurb. It took some time, though...

Anyone looking to buy a Spirit do so with confidence as thierryv is great to deal with, does a great job in packing the machine and helps with shipping!!!

Thank you for those kind words mesz ( responding on your second sentence )
Remember, I still have the westvleteren !!!

LB45, I just got an MPU from Fred Swemmer and I will get all the other boards replaced by his over the next couple of month so I'll let you know how they go. I figured this is probably a machine worth putting lots of money in to get it perfect!

Cool; waiting your opinion.

@carl_694 : yes , i will do the windows manually - it sounds easy for this area.

There are a lot of second hand system 80A mpu boards circulating on the internet.
I think you only have to install the appropriate game eprom .

Wow Thierry, very nice work!

#24 8 years ago

I love that shooter lane. Looks just like my Crescendo after I sanded it... really liked the pattern so I didn't go any deeper on mine to try and get rid of the black marks.

#25 8 years ago

Anyone who has a face overlay - please contact me as I will need one.
Thanks

People are probably pulling them out on mass an replacing them with modern remakes!

I'll take two main playfields and two upper playfields, please! No price too high, no price too low!

You hear this, Kevin and Stu?

I don't suppose anyone has a spare left sling plastic they'd be willing to part with?

I have two spare blue slingshot plastics but only one broken orange.

Haha, darn. My orange one is the only damaged plastic on mine

Strange, someone knows if there is a difference in the yellow "lightnings" on the side of the cabinet between a spirit sample / production game ?
I think on the sample game the lighting doesn,t hit the yellow/black figure of color of African descent

I have "stolen" the above picture from a sample game that apparantly has been sold in Allentown some months ago .
Or was this maybe a previous game from me as I restore them always like this ...

Anyone got one for sale? cash ready

#41 8 years ago

The first is a pic from my first Spirit, the lightning doesn't touch. The second and third pic is the spirit that I have now. The lightning touches the first person in 2 spots and touches the second person once.

There are apparently two types of cabinet painting

#43 8 years ago

There are also two different CNC cabinets as well. One has a 45 degree miter at the leg corners, the other is squared off slotted in. When I had the 7 Spirits together at the PAGG show, the 5 samples didn't have the 45 degree corners. The two that came from France and Spain did. This may all be a coincidence though, I notice that my Goin' Nuts has the 45 degree corners and we know that isn't a production game. Gottlieb probably just had two different cabinet suppliers.

I'd be in for a Spirit playfield and backglass if they'd ever be produced. I know its a longshot, but who knows .

Who owns the rights to this era of Gottlieb stuff these days? Is all of that under Steve's control?

#45 8 years ago

I'd be in for a spirit period if it was decently priced by the time I shipped it to me.

#46 8 years ago

Gottlieb LLC has the rights, as I understand it.
