It seems that you can pick up 5 meters of side glow fiber optic and a rgb remote control LED driver on eBay for around 40.00 total. I'm planning on adding side glow fiber optic to my SST, and if it works out my other machines as well. Does anyone have experience or advice?

There's several items available on eBay. If you search "side glow fiber optic" you'll find quite a selection. I ordered 20 meters of 4mm shipped direct from China for approximately $56.00. This should be enough for 4 or 5 machines. You'll still need an rgb driver, and these come in 1, 2, and 4 outlet configurations. I plan on 2 runs, illuminating both ends of each run, so I ordered a couple 4 outlet drivers. I plan on also ordering a few 2 outlet drivers so that I may have separate illumination, colors, and effects for each rum. Drivers run $7.50 to $15.00 each depending on configuration. I'm also going to need a 12 volt converter and the smallest clear zip ties I can find.

Cost to complete a machine will likely be $40.00 to $50.00 (and a ton of time removing and reinstalling ramps.)
