Roached Rescue 911 playfield - anyone need inserts?

Gottlieb Rescue 911 playfield.

The paint is flaking off the playfield.

It has mylar, so maybe it could be used as practice for mylar removal.

Maybe sand it down and use it for a custom game?

Pop out the inserts to use for repairs or a custom game?

I'll likely only keep this around for a couple days before popping out the inserts myself and tossing it.

[edit]: I few inserts have been removed, so let me know if you need any.

Yeah, shipping this is not worth the trouble. If there's someone in the general vicinity who wants it and is willing pick it up, it's yours.

Quoted from FunkyFreshWalrus:

I need the headlight inserts for my project game. I'm in MA. I'll sent a PM.

Does anyone have a good method for removing the inserts on a system 3 playfield?

If someone doesn't have a good method for releasing/removing the inserts, there might be another option for those particular inserts. I've seen someone print an overlay for the ambulance to try to hide the burnt headlight inserts. It seemed to look ok with incandescent bulbs, but I'm not sure what it would look like with LEDs.

I can send a scan of that area on this playfield if you want to try that.

Quoted from ralphwiggum:

Round inserts are fairly easy... I use a socket matched to the size of the insert, and hammer it out from the backside. A little heat first can work wonders too if it is stubborn.

I've done that on 1970s playfields, but the glue on those is weak to begin with. It looked like much more and stronger glue was used on this playfield, so I wasn't sure if that method would work here. I can give it a try.

Ok, I had success with knocking out some inserts. I had a couple of requests already, so does anyone else need inserts from this playfield?
