Hi dear fellow pinsiders,

I recently bought a Starship Troopers.
And I have a weird issue with it.
Sometimes I can play the game just as I should.

But sometimes, when I press 3 flippers or sometimes, when I just press 2 the game does a reboot.

Do you have any idea what could be causing this problem? Maybe a ribbon cable or something like this.

Any help is greatly appreciated

It's caused by low 5V on the CPU. On Whitestar boards reseating J16 on the power driver board as well as CN2 on the CPU board will typically resolve this temporarily. Eventually you will need to replace the headers and connectors. You can measure the 5V at the bottom of R115 on the power driver board. R116 is an adjustable pot to tweak the voltage, but in all honesty, I've never had to adjust the voltage on a Whitestar board yet.

Thanks schudel5,

Reseated the connectors and the game seems to work again. (at least temporarily)

And thanks a lot for the pinwiki-link as well.
It is really fortunate for me having that, to look up some things for the game which also aren't working.
