Great thread, tks. My recently-acquired Hurricane was repatriated as well. Would this information also apply for that machine? Presently there is a mostly bypassed Molex connector at the transformer itself. Someone did a hack job to rewire it for 120v, with direct connections and tape. It's ugly! Someday I'd like to restore it to "factory" so this info is a great start! Agreed, it should be a "sticky". Tks also for the reminder about the MOV, which I believe my machine has. (Haven't opened the power box yet.) Also, the ~1" square cut-out where a 120v grounded socket would be located has just a blank plug/cover at the moment - I'd like to replace that while I'm in there.

BTW/OT - Has anyone else heard that RadioShack will be shutting down at the end of the year? I got that from the store manager at the one where I worked many years ago - he gave me the impression it was to affect all stores. If true I'll certainly miss them, though they're merely a shadow of what they once were as far as hobbyists go...
