Hello everyone,

I just picked up an Old Chicago machine by Bally and am starting my first pinball restoration. The first thing I need to fix is the player 2 score reel. One of the reels will not reset to 0 and I can't figure out why. Any suggestions?

Thank you,
Vince

So does the score reel sit and do nothing or does it spin and spin and spin around?

I'm not familiar with Chicago Coin machines but this is what I'd do:

Check the switches on that reel. Check what switches close and open when it gets to 0 (compare to the same reel on player 1) - then adjust your malfunctioning reel to work the exact same way.
Clean the switches with a business card.
If that still doesn't do it, try to jumper the switch that should normally be closed at the 0 position.

It used to keep spinning around but now one of the reels just chooses a number and stops. It will not reset to 0.
