      Glossary


    Restoration - Repairing, cleaning, and treating the game in order to completely return the game as close to it's factory new in box state.

    Rotisserie - A device that allows access to all sides of a pinball playfield once removed from the cabinet by allowing it to be rotated along its long axis.

    Shopped - A COMPLETE playfield teardown, cleaning of all parts above and below the playfield, the playfield itself, inspection and repair of all mechanical components to include replacement of worn/malfunctioning parts (lamps, coil sleeves, flipper bushings, linkages, switches), replacement of consumables (rubbers, balls).     Topside Cleaning - Removal of only the playing surface area components, polishing of metal and plastic parts, cleaning of usually un-reachable areas of the playfield.

    1. Repair and Restoration Only, Not for Gameplay/Shots, etc.
    2. One word per post.
    3. Post your word for inclusion, to include a proposed definition.
    4. Upvotes on that post/word will help to determine the accuracy of the definition and validity for inclusion in the top thread/master list.
    5. This is meant to be a positive thread, i.e. helpful. Healthy debate is encouraged in order to reach an acceptable/accurate definition however, be respectful and remember the goal is education of the community.
    6. While many of these terms are subjective the intent is to make them as objective as possible using the communities collective knowledge.
