Nearind the end of a full shopout of a Stern playboy and the centerfold needs work. The spring is missing that closes the lower flap. I have a new spring from stern but need to know how it mounts. Can anyone take a few minutes and post some closeup pics of this ? Its on the bottom right of the centerfolds lower flap. If you could do it with the centerfold open I could see better how it mounts to the flap. Thanks !

I'd like to see it with the centerfold open too! Thanks

Carycarm, you are the man !!!! Thanks so much. I actually drove 30 miles last night to my "local" truck stop where a routed Playboy lives in the wild. After driving all that way I noticed the centerfold mech was broken , with no spring, or hinge pin. Also the drop target was purposely stuck in the up position to prevent the centerfold from being activated. I was very disappointed that I couldnt see how it mounted. you saved the day, thanks again !

I had this issue about 6 months ago. What a pain. I hope that many playboy owners subscribe to this thread because if they ever have to fix theirs in the future there are almost no pictures online. I got mine back together and working after hours of attempted reassembly.

Its been a tough game to shop. Lots of finicky parts, especially the centerfold. now im stuck with a problem with the drop target. I get the technician warning when I go into portals, but the drop switch tests fine. Problem is, the playboy manual shows the "lever" or the microswitch pointed downwards toward the bottom of the drop target, but mine is mounted with the lever up towards the playfield. Now ive tried to switch it around, but the holes in the bracket are not drilled to accommodate it. Ive compared my switch to the one on Marco's website and it is identical. So should I assume this is an error in the Stern manual ?

The way it is orientated now the switch is open when the drop target is down, and closed when it is the up (reset) position. that just seems wrong. Inhomearcades, or CaryCarmichael can you provide a picture of the microswitch on the drop target ? I need to see how it is mounted. Pics of mine are below and it does indeed seem upside down, the way it is now the switch lever rides over the spring mount and actually goes from closed>open>closed>open when knocked down. Cant wait to get Stern on the phone tomorrow and figure out what is going on here.

Yo, here ya go. Check the pic from my [dirty @$$] machine, but I think the plate that has the drop target is installed reversed. 180 degrees should put everything in the right order.

Thanks Cary. It appears that I put the drop targets back plate on wrong on reassembly. In this case a picture was worth a thousand words. You guys rock , the pin will finally be delivered back to the customer this week and I can move on to other projects
