When I designed the P-ROC board back in 2009, I hoped to give people a relatively easy way to build new pinball machines, but I never imagined it would have the impact on the industry that it's having.
At this coming Expo in Chicago, we expect 20+ machines with P-ROCs and other PinballControllers.com boards and at least 8 (!!!) new companies promising to sell new pinball machines based on the P-ROC or P3-ROC. Some will be in our booth (Multimorphic / PinballControllers.com), others will be in their own booths, and a bunch of the machines will be in the gameroom.
The P-ROC has been a major factor in the current resurgence in the pinball industry, and I'm excited about each and every new project that uses it. Included of course is our P3, which will be there with our first game: Lexy Lightspeed - Galaxy Girl for everybody to play and enjoy. Be sure to play the machine and ask us about all of the innovations we've developed to improve the playing, owning, and machine-servicing experience.
Anybody who's interested in re-theming a game or building a custom machine need not start from scratch. Between our mature hardware products (P-ROC, P3-ROC, PDBs, SW-16s, etc), the open-source pyprocgame software framework (or Mission Pinball's forthcoming framework), and our incredibly supportive community of users, you need not be intimidated by the prospect of a custom pinball project. We're here to support you, and we enjoy doing it.
Please PM me if you'd like to buy any of our boards at Expo so I can ensure we bring enough stock to cover your needs.
Thanks.
