Well, yesterday my grubby old Addams Family was delivered. I knew it was filthy, but when I went to see/play it I could really see the potential underneath all of the dirt and grime. Not to mention that I got it for a pretty decent price because of it's unkempt appearance.

I'm including some before shots (when it was first delivered) and some after shots (after prettying it up).

It's really amazing what a box of beer, some LEDs, some Novus, some elbow grease, and some patience can achieve.

Here's my new baby.

I'm still waiting on a bunch of parts/mods, so I'll update this once I'm all done with some more detailed picture.

There are some bad repair jobs, and a few gremlins I need to sort out too, but that's all part of the fun.

Thanks for the kind word guys.

I'll make sure to post more pictures as I get more work done on the project.

Quoted from Crash:

Yes, nothing like bringing an old router beater back frm the dead!

Looks great! Such a nice feeling indeed.

Actually, the TZ has been traded for a NIB Met Pro, but I'm jazzed. I think it will be a great pair to have side by side.

Cheers Zippy!

Quoted from shacklersrevenge:

looks great! nice find, talk about diamond in the rough...
just a note (maybe you know already but if you don't...) Your flippers are way out of whack, stick a toothpick in those tiny holes and let the flippers rest on it. Then tighten back up. Game will play radically different

Oh most definitely! I have a bunch of gremlins to weed out of the machine, and the flippers are definitely on the list.

I appreciate you pointing it out though, there will probably be a few things I'll miss along the way so any input is always appreciated. Cheers!

Here's some updated pics.

Added since last post: Clear ramp assembly, Cliffy's complete playfield kit, Uncle "Lester", lighted bear kick ramp mod, Thing box decals, Bookcase decals (a job I hope to never have to do again), target armor, backplate decal, and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting at the moment.

Only a few things left to go. Mini flipper replacement, Color DMD, new topper decals, mirror blades, bookcase spotlight (on it's way), upper playfield & topper blue LED lighting kit (on the way), and then cabinet work.

Pretty happy with the progress so far!

Thank you kindly.

I'm a bit surprised myself how nicely it cleaned up. Lol
