So I met someone yesterday who had 2 pins in an ancient semi trailer. I crawled over all the junk to the end of the trailer and could barely make out the names Casanova and Spin A Card. I went back today with tools to cut the lock on the door by the pins. After a little bit of work I was able to open the doors that had been closed for 20 years. There was so much junk in the way there was barely any room to work. It took me an hour to get all the junk out of the way and another hour to disassemble the games. I had to break the down completely and take them out piece by piece, head then Playfield, then cabinet.

So now I have 2 more EMs to learn on. Thanks to Way2wrd for helping me out today. I will get some pics soon

They must have been practically free to go through that much trouble? Anyway, congrats!

Spin A Card. Needs cosmetic work. I was able to get it to reset the score reels one time tonight. That's a promising sign.

75$?! What a deal! I would be very tempted to sand that spin a card playfield completely down and do a retheme if it were mine.

How do you find these farm fresh treasures?

I encounter a lot of people in my job. I make it a point to ask at least one person a day if they have or know someone that has an old pinball machine. If I'm at a house or out in the country and there's a shed or barn, I ask.

32 of the pins I have or have owned, have come from someone I met through work. There are still others I've found that weren't for sale.

My biggest find was due to seeing a jukebox behind the lady that answered the door. It turned out her husband was a retired op with 22 pins and about 100 vids in a warehouse. I bought most of the pins.

Awesome score! Projects like this are the best. Nothing like bringing something like one of these back to life! Please do post more pictures of the restoration process! Love these kinds of threads!

I used to do the same - adding it in social conversations always turned up some interesting results

Great find! The hunt is half the fun. I have learned over the years to take lots of pictures of the pins in their "found" state. The pictures of them setting in a pile of trash are priceless memories when the pin gets passed to it's next caretaker.

Boy,You've got your work cut out for you on Spin a card. I've had 2 of them, fun game.I made the one I restored into a wedge head.
