I wanted to add an LED strip to a part of my playfield which needs more light

    It has two leads.

Is it okay to just solder them to an existing GI socket?

Or am I going to have issues by doing that?

Depends on the type of strip you have and the game. Spike games have polarity issues. Is your strip rectified? Is it 12v or 5v?

Truth is, I literally found this thing on the ground in some parking lot.

I took it home and tried it by touching the two leads to a socket and it lit up blue.

I don't know about voltage or if it's rectified.

Does the attached image show anything that might indicate?
Oh and the game is a Williams Jokerz

That’s a pretty crappy strip. Its 12v, in which case you can’t use it for gi connection.

    Okay.

    Thanks for your help.

    Cheers.
