In regards to the kickback the first thing you need to do is determine if it's the coil that's bad or the switch. Go into the switch test and see if the switch in front of the kickback works. Then go into the solenoid test and see if the kickback solenoid fires. If either of those aren't working then you'll be closer to solving the problem.
Also, the only way to know for sure whether or not a fuse is bad is to pull it out and test it with a multimeter, so I'd do that before assuming it's good.
