I don't have an IJ so I don't know what it's like under the Idol. Can you just put an adhesive strip of LEDs around the stones and tie it into a GI bulb? It would cost a whopping a $3, maybe $4 if you want to replace the GI bulb with an LED bulb.

That area needs a ton of strip to look right. Nothing powered off GI will do well. Our kit puts about 21 LEDs under that area partially because gold LEDs are super dim relative to other colors.

Are those 12 volt LED strips?

Between the Comet LED plug and play strips and the DK power tap with a splitter you can really make a game bright, I think Comet will soon be releasing easy to use spots for the slings like the Stern games have and this for me will make the greatest impact on the older pins.

An 8" (20 LEDS in any color) or 20" Strip in Warm White 6.3V, will plug right into the GI, and its brightness can be controlled to your taste with Matrix.

Several ways to go...all good, from Op-Max to strips, Pinballbulbs solution, thanks Mark...never saw this, or DIY...all good ideas!
