Is it as simple as hitting all four pics before your ball drains? Seems that sometimes I make all 4 solid but dont get a band member?

Collecting each additional band member requires additional pick hits. I believe the default is two hits per pick for the first member, then 3 for the second, 4 for the third and 5 for the last member. To make it a bit easier, you can change the number of required hits in the settings so that the first band member is one hit to each pick, then 2, 3 and 4 to get the remaining members.

It is tough. I lowered my settings so I could play the band member mode (blackened). Shoot for sparky multiball off the bat to get yourself a good head start on collecting the band members.

It's actually tougher than that. It's not the number of hits per target. You have to COMPLETE all 4 targets 2, 3, 4 then 5 times for the band members.

You can actually go into your settings and select to have this carry over for each ball so the hits keep on counting during the whole game played and you don't have to start again on each ball for the band member your after.

I think this is a good change, also.

Oh man I had an epic game last night and finished Blackened band member mode(I think), I got some super jackpot and I think it had victory lamps on all the shots after, got something like 80mil on Blackened mode but as stated above it is HARD to get to but well worth it when you do. It was so hard to tell cause I had Fuel running(which trumps Blackened music and effects most times) and a multiball or two as well. Started 3 Crank It Up modes which was my most ever. It was crazy! But a blast!
