I'm completing the rebuild of my Surf 'n Safari machine and reassembling the playfield. Quick question regarding the opto switches for the ramps. Is there a right and left side to these assemblies, or are they interchangeable? Just want to make sure I put them back on the right way.

Thanks!

There is a transmitter and a receiver that must be wired right, but not a left and right. It is simply putting a beam of light across the two holes and detecting if the beam is broken. So wiring the proper side does matter but switching the properly wired side would not. But usually a wire harness has a memory that will put everything back in the right direction anyway.

When in doubt. Take lots of pictures.
