Stern, 2016I'm having a problem with balls not detected in the subway tunnel so they don't eject in a timely manner. Stern tech support suggested I test each of the three pair of optical sensors.
What is the best method for testing each of the three pair of optical sensors in the subway tunnel?

If you wiggle the machine side to side does it find the ball?
Have you looked into the subway to see if they are resting in the right place?
Have you checked the level of the machine side-to-side? If it’s out of level, the ball can get stuck in the subway and not roll all the way through the lock.

Check the wire harness. Mine was pulled tight and I traced back from the tunnel to a connector that one of the terminals had pulled out some. Reseated it and everything worked fine.
