Wood board I purchased from Wade. It’s a little different and hope to install it once I get the game.

#74 1 year ago

Board is finished. It will get shipped out along with Surfer/Surf Champ at a later date.
I’m going to install it like it is, maybe have Ron Kruzman clear coat it. Colors of the plastics and pops should make it look pretty cool. Just have to find the machine……..
With shipping, believe his playfields are now in the $900 range.

What’s in the boxes?

Quoted from Beatnik-Filmstar:

Shay goodness!
Two El Dorados or something else?

It’s Atlantis and El Dorado.

It was in California last Friday, Monday it will be here! I’ve wanted this game for a long time.

Quoted from jrpinball:

I have to say though, I like that wagon wheel graphic on the center of the playfield much better than that big "WOW" that's on "Gold Strike".

Yes, it is nice!

Game arrived today. Played it about 10 times and have been steadily getting better. Left top flipper coil is noisy and right bottom flipper sometimes flutters. Shooting rod seems too long and a couple ‘when lit’ lights don’t work. Otherwise, very pleased!

Great 1st ball, ended with 99980. Kinda disappointing.

What’s the correct length for the shooter rod? Seems like it should be slightly less than 8” but I can’t find it online.

Quoted from pinhead52:

7 1/2 inches. Needed an 8 1/2 inch for a Teachers Pet and Steve ran down the lengths. He's sending me a 9 inch shooter that I'll cut down..

I got the right one from Pinball Resource a few weeks ago.

If you want this one, it’s yours.

Hi, happy to be a member of this club. I was just wondering if there any differences known between sample en production games?

None that I know of, enjoy the game!

Quoted from RCA1:

Ummmm........
Seems like something is missing there.
It will be unique though.

You’re right, color is missing! Pop bumper covers, plastics and lots of drop targets should suffice.
It’s a wood board.

Quoted from o-din:

Anybody have a use for this? It came with my El Dorado, but the original cleaned up nicely and is sitting at my brother's house anyway. It is grade "A". Not sure if they are still available or not. Or will be. Somebody can clue me in though. Price could be adjusted accordingly.
If not, I figure with the money I keep throwing at this hobby, I can do $1100 including shipping to anywhere in the USA.[quoted image]

I’ll take it!

Quoted from Sea_Wolf:

That’s what makes this hobby cool. We’re all wired differently and things change too.
It’s probably blasphemy but the first of mine to go if I see something else and need room is my Bally Wizard. Cool to look at but I really don’t love playing it.
I made an 11 hour round trip to get it an hour west of Chicago and never warmed up to the design and gameplay. I also might be leaning towards another early SS in its place. Willams Flash, Stern Meteor, Stars, Williams Hot Tip etc..

Have 2 Wizards and rarely play them anymore. Left flipper, hit 5000 target. Right flipper, hit spinner. Everything else is incidental. Game plays better with a stronger Gottlieb flipper coil on the right.

Decisions, perhaps both?
